Lot 249 MCC (Meriden Cutlery Co?)  stag handled hobo, bomb shield, near mint. Thanks to George Hodges we have a correction on this knife. He writes, "( lot 249 ) was made by the Mark Cross Co. of N.Y.City circa 1892-1933 . This knife was Not made by Meriden Cutlery Co. of Meriden,ct..Since I collect the latter I happen to have found out the hard way.
