Lot 1 Extraordinary Clay Gault five piece skinning set, three oosic handled skinners, one all metal fine caper, and a ceramic rod with rayskin handle. The wide belly skinner is 6 3/4" long with a 2 1/2" blade, drop point skinner is 6 5/8" with a 2 7/8" blade, and the caper is 6" with a 2 5/8" blade. All these three have oosic handles, straight tangs, and dovetailed bolsters. The all metal fine caper is 5 1/8" long with a 1 " blade. The ceramic sharpener is 5 1/2". All five pieces fit in a fitted case with an elephant hide cover. The case measures 4 1/2 X 8 5/8 inches. Extraordinary set made by a late Texas maker and prominent Knifemakers' Guild member in the heyday of the Guild. Not only that but Clay was a damn nice man. (REL 91334) Minimum bid $400.00

Lot 11 Cary Engraved drop point, brass guard and pommel, burl wood finger wood handles, ivory micarta spacer, Has been carried and used with some pitting. Lot 41 Marbles Gladestone Mich Ideal fixed blade, stag handle with stag pommel. Some color difference between the handle and the pommel so likely a restoration. Neat thing about this one is the sheath, on which is written "To Jim from My boy Dodo, Nov. 2, 1954." Fading and style looks authentic. Excellent overall. 10" oal, 5 3/4" blade. Lot 42 Gerodias fancy old wavy folder, Fluted bolsters, 7" long closed, scroll engraved design inlaid into the horn handles, alwo at the lower end of the knife are inlaid stars and a diamond shaped piece of pearl on both sides. Lot 43 Eloi Pernet, French cased fisherman's knife with cork handles to allow it to float. Sharpened, and near mint, ring lock that is stiff, 4 3/4" long. Sheath is marked Mark Cross. (rbf 91022) Minimum bid $20.00

Lot 54 Two large pruning knives, smaller is a wood handled folder, unmarked, 5 3/8" closed vg, and a fixed blade with sculpted handles and curved guard and pommel to help keep the knife in the user's hand. Lot 66 Two large items. Socket bayonet with sheath, N.G.P. in brass emblem on the sheath, exc. Plus, and 27" sword with a 22 1/4" blade, cast handle that is not clearly done. Blade shape looks like the civil war era sword bayonets but no lug nor was there ever one on this hilt. Deeply pitted, likely dug. (rbf 91045) Minimum bid $30.00

Lot 67 Pipe tomahawk, 20" oal, 7 1/2" head, 3" edge, maple handle, leather wrapping close to the head. Mark appears to be a hammer inside a circle. Very well done. (rbf 91046) Minimum bid $50.00

Lot 72 Pair of daggers, both unmarked and pitted, one with a wood handle, iron rounded guard and pommel, blade has deep pits, 11" oa, 7" blade, no sheath, and Brass dagger with a solid cast bronze handle, 9 1/4" oak, 5 1/8" blade with the tip blunted, no sheath. Lot 74 Robeson Shuredge in script, USA on reverse of the tang, stacked leather washer handle with a metal pommel, 10 1/2" oal, 6 1/4" blade, knife ix exc plus, still with some original polish. Lot 84 Two well worn Marbles knives, Ideal with leather washer handle and 7 3/8" hunter with a 3 7/8" blade, both exc. Only have sheath for the small knife, which has the Official Boy Scouts emblem on the snap. (rbf 91065) Minimum bid $25.00

Lot 87 Three Oriental looking knives. 16 1/2" with cracked wood handle has Chinese figure on the blade, 13 1/4" wood handle, cracked but less severe is unmarked, and the smaller is well made with several marking exc. Lot 88 Three daggers. Carved fluted white bone is 10" and marked Kurt Primos SUC, Mexico. Vg, hollow end in the handle. Horn handled dagger is 11" oal, vg, and the stag handle unmarked dagger is better made, has a German feel to it, S shaped guard, metal ferrule, brass tipped leather sheath, 10 3/4" oal, 5 3/4" blade. vg. Lot 89 George Wostenholm Three piece carving set in original box with original insert paper. Imitation ivory handles, marked Firth Stainess, IXL Geo.
