Lot 1 Buster Warenski hunter, marked "Buster, Richfield, Utah". Brass fittings, guard, and spacers. Basketweave sheath, wood handle. 9" oal, 4 1/4" blade, Mint. (89022) Minimum bid $200.00

Lot 2 Steve Johnson, Manti, Utah stag handled drop point hunter, 8 1/8" oal, 4 1/4" blade, leather sheath. Art Knife Invitational maker and one of the most in demand makers at any show. You have to be drawn to be able to buy one of his knives. (Except here!) (89044) Minimum bid $450.00

Lot 3 J. R. Cook Mastersmith handforged hunter. Matched stag handles, nickel silver guard. The Two piece handles surround a hidden tang, rope style filework on the blade back. Fantastic balance. 9 1/2" oal and 5" blade. No sheath. (89011) Minimum bid $150.00

Lot 4 Dr. Fred Carter fixed blade, ironwood handle, 9 1/8" oal, 4 5/8" blade, leather sheath, tapered tang, former President of the Knifemakers' Guild and noted art knife maker. Mint. (89049) Minimum bid $100.00

Lot 5 Fancy Jimbiya, features fancy decorated sheath, 13 1/2" oal, 7 1/2" blade, with enameled cartouches, six on one side, one on the other with large green translucent pieces and pommel, inlaid with cut glass decorations. The blade is not much, marked 3KG. According to the consignor this knife was originally purchased overseas by a well know knifemaker in his country, at a retail price of $4000.00. We have been unable to find anything about it from the crest to the name, so could be a sleeper. MIB (89145) Minimum bid $200.00

Lot 6 Red Watson Bowie knife, brass guard and pommel, RW in shield. Wood handle is stippled, leather sheath, 14 3/4" oal, 9 3/4" blade, spacers on each end of the handle, hidden tang, near mint. Red Watson was a knifemaker known for the friendship he offered as much as his knives. The Knifemakers' Guild for many years only gave one award, the Red Watson Friendship Award. Lot 14 Kim Breed handmade gentleman's sliplock folder, 3 1/4", pre-ban ivory handles, a couple of naturally occuring checks on the back handle (these are not cracks! Lot 77 W. R. Hurt Bowie, silver wire inlaid handle, wood lined leather sheath, fileworked guard, handforged, ivory ferrule. Lot of Moran look to this one. 16" oal, 10" blade. Mint. (89007) Minimum bid $150.00

Lot 78 Russell Easler ironwood handled skinner, fileworked over the entire tang and blade back, 7" oal, 3 1/4" blade, no sheath. Mint. (89008) Minimum bid $70.00

Lot 79 Lee Benchmade Knives stag handled Damascus fighter. Fain Edwards Damascus mark on the back handle, dovetailed guard and tapered tang. Unused but some specking on the Damascus. Lee Benchmde knives were not completely handled by Tommy Lee. Instead he utilized other knifemakers whose business was slow to help him, assigning them different parts of the process at which they were best. There were not trained workers but knifemakers in their own right making some money on the side. No sheath. Both sides sharpened. (89009) Minimum bid $80.00

Lot 80 Gil Hibben, Louisville, KY ivory micarta dagger, shaped handle, brass guard, spacers on pommel and guard. Reverse of tang is marked "Smiths, Hot Springs, AR". Mint, no sheath. 10 1/2" oal, 5 3/4" blade. (89012) Minimum bid $110.00

Lot 81 Sheldon fancy Damascus Dagger. This maker was a student of Bill Moran and show's Bill's influence. Damascus dagger blade, ivory guard, with ivory tips, ivory 3 piece pommel, and ivory tip and throat to the sheath. Wood handle with ivory shield. Fine detail work. Back is marked A-18-60. A long 16 1/2" oal, 11 1/2" blade, leather covered sheath. Mint. (89005) Minimum bid $300.00

Lot 82 John Fitch Mastersmith hidden tang Bowie, maple handle, grooved ferrule, nickelsilver guard, 15" oal, 10" blade, hand rubbed finish, mint except for five or six specks. Comes with a Kenny Rowe fitted sheath, snakeskin inset, and blade snap also serves to hold the knife in the sheath. Mint except as noted. (89004) Minimum bid $150.00

Lot 84 Bert Foster cutting competition knife, 14 3/4" oal, 10" blade, forward lanyard, tapered tang, ironwood handles. Still has stains from the original cutting competition in which it was used, so can't call it mint, but maybe mint used only one time! Mastersmith 2007 mark on the back. No sheath.
