Lot 3 Bill Bagwell small hunter. Bagwell along with Don Hastings, Bill Moran, and B. R. Hughes was a founder of the American Bladesmiths Society. 8" oal, 3 1/8" blade, brass guard, wood handle with lanyard, (hairline at the lanyard hole), hidden tang, appears unused but could have been sharpened, but hard to tell because Bill's sharpening is right on that line sometimes. Lot 30 Richard Batson, Arlington, VA USA tactical fighter, with a bat inside a sun logo. engraved with 2ed Ranger Battalion on the front, 12 1/2" oal, 7 3/4" blade, and on the back is the name Greg Walker (former editor of Fighting Knives). #322 on the bottom of the tang and on the pommel, along with "BRK" on the pommel fingergroove wood handles, drilled guard, lanyard. Has been carried so near mint. What I dug up on the internet is that Batson was a serving Ranger c. 1950-1970. Most of his knives were made for other Rangers, which he typically sold for $100 at the time. He most often used Wenge wood (an African hardwood) for the handle. Date based on serial number is early 90's. His blades were 01 and he heat treated them with a torch. He only made knives for military personnel. Sullivan sheath that is original to the knife. One of his presentation knives was presented to Gen. Schwartzkoff after the Gulf War. (0171) Minimum bid $20.00

Lot 56 Lance Kelley engraved folder with wood handles. Kelley was best known as an engraver, but he made a pretty good knife too. 3 5/8" closed, ironwood handles, lockback, even flat of the blunt end bolster is engraved. Dovetailed bolsters, mint. (0931) Minimum bid $150.00

Lot 61 Sid Bell drop point with stag handles. Rare knife as Sid Bell is best known for producing sterling silver tie tacks on outdoor themes. He also designed the figures in the handles of the early Camillus wildlife series. Speckled up pretty good but appears unused, 7 1/2" oal, 3 1/2" blade, brass guard and pommel cap, thumb grooves, sculpted pommel cap to match stag grooves. Exc. (0021) Minimum bid $50.00

Lot 65 Pop Engraved wood handled hunter #809, used. If you've ever wanted a fancy carry knife to impress the guys in the hunting lodge but can't bear to sharpen and use a mint handmade knife, this one is an ideal toter. Lot 72 W. T. Fuller (One-hander) Ivory micarta handled front lock folder. WT lost his arm in an industrial accident and was said of him he made better knives with one hand than many did with two. Along with Harvey McBurnette, a neighbor at the time, they pioneered reintroduction of the front lock, and was the inspiration for the front lock on early Al Mar knives. Dovetailed bolsers, lanyard hole, front lock, fileworked blade back, back and liners, some light storage scratching on the bolsters, otherwise mint. 4 3/4" closed. (0407) Minimum bid $125.00
