French
Knives
Fontenille Pataud, Gilles\
Fontenille
Pataud knives are hand forged and feature partial hand file work on the top of
the blades. The full guilloche knives have hand file work the full length of the
top of the blade and liners. If you are not well versed in the popularity,
quality, and value of French made knives I would strongly suggest you check out
the following retail sites. www.cutlerytogo.com, and www.worldknives.com.
There
you will discover a well made French knife such as those shown here are offered
in the $159.00 range, and
Damascus
knives can be over $400.00. This auction is the first time we’ve actually run
a variety of quality French knives—please do not make the mistake of bottom
feeding on quality knives simply because you didn’t take the time to research
their value. Do your homework and
bid accordingly.
